Alexis Santos

Alexis began practicing Insight Meditation in 2001 while traveling in India after taking leave from medical school. Since then, his primary teacher has been Sayadaw U Tejaniya, with whom he ordained as a Buddhist monk. Sayadaw U Tejaniya encouraged Alexis to share his practice with others in 2012. In 2016, he completed the Spirit Rock/IMS teacher training program. Alexis’ teaching emphasizes the natural process of developing wisdom and compassion. He considers it a joy and an honor to be practicing with others to purify the mind and heart so that we can learn to live and engage this brief life well.
