Affinity groups are smaller communities within the larger Seattle Insight sangha (community) that share a common identity or experience. They provide a safe and supportive space for members to explore their practice in relation to their shared background. At Seattle Insight we have ongoing monthly affinity sits for people who identify as BIPOC and another for people who identify as LGBTQIA2S+. Please read the descriptions below to learn more about each of these groups. We look forward to seeing you here!
Join here on our Zoom Links page. The zoom link is changed regularly for security reasons so please go to this page every week right before your meeting to join the zoom call.
The Seattle Insight BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) sangha meets online the third Sunday of the month at 4 PM PT. Our intention is to be a refuge, to foster solidarity, and to awaken together. We are an online-only group, as we want to be as accessible as possible to anyone who is interested. We will have a period of formal sitting and then discuss our experiences around the Seattle Insight monthly teaching topic. This group is for anyone who self-identifies as BIPOC. Our intention is to be a refuge, to foster solidarity, and to awaken together.
