Larry is a lay dharma teacher practicing in the Thich Nhat Hanh tradition since the 1990s. He co-leads mindfulness retreats with Peggy Rowe around the world. Larry and Peggy work with The Lotus Institute whose mission is “to offer mindfulness teachings, principles and practices that encourage individual healing and transformation, professional growth, and development in ways that enhance planetary, social evolution.”
Larry wrote Chapter 5 of the book, “Together We Are One” and helped establish the Deer Park Monastery near Escondido California. He organized their first People of Color Retreat. Peggy and Larry coauthored “Love’s Garden: A Guide to Mindful Relationships” (Parallax Press, 2008).
