Which of the precepts do you resist following? (Refraining from: taking life, stealing, sexual harm, intoxicants.) Consider the subtle aspects of each precept. Sense the underlying impulse beneath the behavior. Can you trace it back to fear, anger, or lack? Underneath that, can you sense the basic premise of separation, of self and other?
