Description

Accessing the Fourth Foundation is as easy as abiding in wonder. A question that is interesting to you but does not immediately resolve itself into an answer holds that wonder. When you hold a question without trying to immediately find the answer, you will feel the pull of form (needing to know the answer) in conflict with the formless (the wonder within the mystery of the question itself).

Homework

Opening beyond what we know is both nourishing and fearful. Questioning (wonder) takes us to the formless and knowledge (certainty) takes us to form. When you hold a question without knowing the answer, form struggles to find the answer and thereby solidify its formation. But if you just allow yourself to wonder without immediate resolution you will discover the flowering of awareness. What question(s) naturally arise(s) about dharma in your life? For example, a question might arise about whether anything in life is truly permanent or whether you really are in control. Let the question unfold as a flowering of wonder and awareness. What happens to you, the knower, when you invite formlessness in?
