Series

Description

Renunciation can have a double edge if we use self-dislike as its guide instead of wisdom and compassion. Fully acknowledging suffering can lead to renunciation as an expression of compassion. Renunciation can also be seen as having outer forms or structures and inner forms in which a deeper understanding is revealed.

Homework

Can renunciation be an expression of love and compassion instead of being driven by self-dislike and willpower? What is the difference between these two approaches? Choose one area to practice renunciation. Keep it manageable and attainable. See what renunciation can teach you in its outer form of structure and its inner form of wisdom.
