Homework

This week in your meditation focus your attention on the quality of change that goes on inwardly (thoughts, sounds, emotions, sensations, etc.) rather than the specific object that is changing. Bring that same attention to all aspects of life around you as you move through your day. As the week goes on, try to narrow the perceptual distance between you and change. Try to put yourself in the middle of change, becoming one with change, rather than it happening to you, as if you were outside of this process. Is it possible to become one with change so change is lived rather than noticed? What are the implications of narrowing and/or ending this perceptual distance? What would you have to relinquish, how would you have to change?
