The Buddha said, “There are two kinds of persons rare in this world, one who takes initiative in helping others and one who is grateful.” Referencing the Mahamangala Sutta, the Discourse on Blessings, we will look at the conditions for happiness and the practices of gratitude and proactive compassion as vehicles for awakening to our most precious roles in life.
