Faith is conviction, trust and/or willingness. Take some time to explore where you put your trust in practice. How willing are you to let your deepest experience guide you? With your experience as a guide, let your practice be moment to moment. If you become aware of the existence of an unwholesome/unskillful mental state — can you abandon your attachment to the story? Can you let it go as you would a thought during meditation? If not, can be you okay with that? Try setting an intention every morning this week. It can be as simple as — today, as much as possible, I will avoid harming others. Just say it without expectation. Reflect back over the day at night and begin again the next morning. If you become aware of a wholesome mental state — see if you can appreciate its arising and then let it pass away. This week can you notice how practice is leading you rather than vice versa?
