Teaching the Threes
This year’s (2023) teaching theme will be Teaching the Threes: Building a Strong Foundation for Practice.
Jan/Feb/Mar: Triple Jewels (Buddha, Dhamma, Sangha)
Apr/May/Jun: Three Characteristics (Impermanence, Dissatisfaction, Non-self)
Jul/Aug/Sep: Three Poisons (Greed, Hatred, Delusion)
Oct/Nov/Dec: Three Pillars of Insight Practice (Wisdom, Dana, Sila)
Special Note: Most events at SIMS are meeting remotely via Zoom software. Current event status and meeting links are on the Online Events page. This Sunday morning Sit and Dharma talk meets online only.
Dana for SIMS and the Teachers can be offered online at https://seattleinsight.org/donate, or at the event once we are able to meet in person again.
These Sunday mornings are an on-going family-friendly gathering that includes a guided meditation, children’s story, dharma talk, and time for community connection. It occurs every Sunday morning, except on weekends when non-residential retreats are scheduled. It is held online only now.
Registration & Donation
Registration is not needed for this class. The suggested event donation is $5, plus teacher dana. (Dana is a term for generosity, or freely offered giving.) Teacher dana can be offered at the event using the Donate link above. Please use your best efforts to pay the suggested donation or another heartfelt amount. All are welcome regardless of ability to pay.
