Description

The Four Illusions are basic misperceptions of reality that ultimately drive our motivations and actions. The Buddha called them “intentional inverted views that turn reality upside down.” They take a critical aspect of reality to be precisely what it is not: taking what is impermanent to be permanent, taking what is inherently incapable of satisfying as satisfying, taking the momentary display of the world as continuous, and taking what inherently lacks independent existence as independently existing. We will explore these illusions and their implications for our life through homework, talks, and discussions.
