Description

Once we have accepted the fact that we cannot control the dharma, our practice opens up to the full catastrophe of living. We open first by backing away from our egoic demands and then by infusing our actions with the wisdom of the body.

Homework

What insights have you had concerning a limitation in your life? It could be that you have seen the absurdity of a belief system, an imposed self-assumption, or a fear pattern that keeps you contracted. You know it is not true, but the old insecurities keep you bound within their conditioning. Insights cannot survive under the influence of old repetitive actions. To counter this force of conditioning, write down four or five new action statements that are aligned with the truth of your new understanding. Now go out and commit yourself to these new actions even if they seem pretentious and out of character. Insight can only integrate into your body when the body is moving (live action) in accordance to what it knows to be true.
