Cheryl Slean has been practicing Buddhist meditation since 1995 and currently serves on the teachers’ councils at Against the Stream, L.A. and Insight Community of the Desert, Palm Springs. She trained to teach with Rodney Smith and Noah Levine, and teaches classes and retreats at spiritual and secular venues including Mindful Schools, Refuge Recovery, and various health and wellness and business settings. She has a Certification in Mindfulness Facilitation (CMF) from the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center. Cheryl is also a writer, filmmaker and educator working in the arts and sustainability, and is executive producer of VisionLA Climate Action Arts.
