- Gateways to the Dharma 2016-11-01
Description
The 2016 election has created shock and fear for many people. It is a vital time to practice and has the potential to deepen and integrate our wisdom and compassion. In this talk, we explore the relationship between the stages of grief and dharma practice, in relation to the the election.
Homework
As thoughts and emotions about the election arise this week, ground into the experience of the body. Continually realign with the here and now, not the fears of the future. Reflect on the five stages of grief: denial, bargaining, anger/fear, sadness, and acceptance. Which arise easily for you and which are not so accessible? How can you encourage a more complete grieving process?
