Description
Storyteller, writer and teacher Margo McLoughlin draws on the power of narrative to radically shift perception. A graduate of the Harvard Divinity School, as well as the Community Dharma Leader training program at Spirit Rock, Margo has been translating and retelling the Jataka tales and Buddhist legends for many years. As Artist-in-Residence at the University of Victoria’s Centre for the Study of Religion in Society, Margo developed a series of stories about the early women disciples of the Buddha, including queens, slaves, and artisans. With a fine attention to the sensory experience of daily life, Margo’s stories describe the encounter between human suffering and liberating wisdom.
