Now that the weather is getting nicer again, our Climate Action Group is planning another Meditation Walk in the ancient magical forest at Seward Park on April 13th, Saturday from 1-3 p.m.
We will meet again in the meadow adjacent to Shelter #3 across the road from the trailhead. (There is a bathroom available.) We’ll have an initial circle, offer a land acknowledgment, followed by suggestions of intentions or ideas for contemplation as we walk through the forest.
We’ll walk silently in a loop for about 45 minutes, returning to the starting place. After a blessing to close the walk, we can break into smaller groups to share our reflections. Please bring snacks to share if you wish. We’ll come back into the full circle to share group reflections, ending with a dedication of merit. Please join us for a precious time of deep connection with the natural world.
There is ample parking available, but please carpool or take public transit, if possible. Metro Bus 50 stops a block from the park entrance. We can arrange to pick up a limited number of people at the Columbia City light rail station. If you want to be picked up from the light rail station, contact Iris at antwomaniris@gmail.com.
