BIPOC Sit at Seattle Insight
The SIMS BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) Sangha
Our intention is to be a refuge, to foster solidarity, and to awaken together.
Refuge: We want to provide a welcoming environment for BIPOC practitioners who haven’t been able to find a community elsewhere.
Solidarity: How can our collective wisdom hold our individual insights? We will contemplate the dhamma (Buddha’s teachings) through our direct, lived experiences.
Awaken together: May our voices and insights shape the future of the dhamma and together, realize that freedom isn’t something esoteric and unreachable for us, but real and attainable.
May all beings feel the freedom to be the most expanded, radically open and alive version of themselves. May all beings feel loved. May all beings remember that we belong – in this life just as it is.
Please join us online every third Sunday of the month at 4 PM PT.
