The SIMS Climate Action Group warmly invites you to a
Potluck for the Planet
Saturday, September 21 from 5-7 pm in the North Room Social Hall at Seattle Insight/UFM
(in-person only)
Join us for delicious plant-based food while learning how our food choices can positively impact climate change. There will be interactive games and fun activities. You are welcome to bring your family, as there will be a kids’ activity table to encourage creativity and fun with food.
Since this is a potluck, please bring a plant-based dish* to serve 4-6, your own plates, cups, and silverware as well as the recipe for your dish or a list of ingredients. You can be as fancy or as simple as you wish – cut-up fruits and veggies or deli take-out are fine if cooking isn’t your thing.
We look forward to a wonderful evening of sharing yummy food while building community around food and compassionate action for ourselves, each other, and our planet.
Please RSVP above. If the Going link doesn’t work for you, no worries. Please feel welcome to just show up!
*Plant-based includes grains, beans, veggies, fruits, nuts & seeds while leaving out meat, poultry, fish, dairy, and eggs. If you have questions about ingredients or recipes, please e-mail Jean at jmyers1050@gmail.com
