The Evolution of Mindfulness to Awareness with Rodney Smith (Online only)

September 20, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm PDT

Please join Rodney as he guides us through our early training in mindfulness toward the full evolution of mindfulness into spacious, formless awareness.

This online event will include a dharma talk, Q & A, and meditative Inquiry sponsored by East West Books. Register Here. There is a $10 admission. If you’d like to donate more you can select one of the higher price options in the drop down above.

This is a benefit for both East West Bookshop and Seattle Insight Meditation Society, and all proceeds will be distributed equally between the two not-for-profit organizations. Please give generously.

-Mindfulness is meant to reveal our fundamental nature
-Our fundamental nature is formless, timeless, immediate, and complete
-Mindfulness evolves out of the watcher of the experience into watching, which is no longer controlled by the egoic sense of self
-Transcendent freedom is seeing reality through formless awareness and not through the distorted lens of the ego

Rodney Smith is a retired Insight Meditation Society guiding teacher and retired founding and guiding teacher of the Seattle Insight Meditation Society.
