

Thursday Night Sangha (Online)
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Thursday, repeating indefinitely
The Capitol Hill Meditation Group is a drop-in group dedicated to supporting the meditation practice of people living in the Seattle area. Previous Vipassana practice and/or previous attendance at an beginning meditation class is helpful but not essential. A 30 minute sit begins at 6:30 pm with a short dharma talk and open discussion following. More information can be found on the Capitol Hill Meditation Group’s page where you can register for events and receive notifications from Tuere and the group.
This year’s (2023) teaching theme will be Teaching the Threes: Building a Strong Foundation for Practice.
Jan/Feb/Mar: Triple Jewels (Buddha, Dhamma, Sangha)
Apr/May/Jun: Three Characteristics (Impermanence, Dissatisfaction, Non-self)
Jul/Aug/Sep: Three Poisons (Greed, Hatred, Delusion)
Oct/Nov/Dec: Three Pillars of Insight Practice (Wisdom, Dana, Sila)
During our regular SIMS sits on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays, we will explore the Buddha’s teachings on 4 of the Threes. Please join us for this rich exploration.
