We are living in very difficult times filled with a lot of uncertainty and worry. This uncertainty and worry can bring with it a whole host of unpleasant emotions. The more we worry about the uncertainty, the more our emotions intensify, leaving us frantically looking for a return to safety from outside ourselves. Mindfulness reminds us of the true source of our safety. It is in the wisdom of impermanence that we experience the light of the dharma, enabling us to clearly see that our strength comes from the stillness within us, not from conditions outside us. In solitude of a day of mindfulness, we gently disengage the thinking mind and confidently turn towards investigating the suffering of uncertainty and worry. Gradually, though awareness, we become renewed, inspired and empowered.

This day of mindfulness is for all those who are weary of heart. Come find refuge in the Buddha, clarity from the dharma and support from the sangha.
