Teacher Led Groups

Teacher-led groups are organized by Guiding Teachers or Local Dharma Leaders. To learn more about a specific teacher, you may select their name from the Teachers menu above.

The Monday evening ongoing class at SIMS starts with a meditation and is followed by a dharma talk. The evening is open to anyone who has had introductory meditation instruction from a qualified instructor. Dharma talks are often presented in series.

REGISTRATION & DONATION

Registration is not needed for this class. The suggested event donation is $5, plus teacher dana. (Dana is a term for generosity, or freely offered giving.) Teacher dana can be offered at the event. Please use your best efforts to pay the suggested donation or another heartfelt amount. All are welcome regardless of ability to pay.

The Sunday morning Meditation & Dharma Talk is an ongoing family-friendly gathering that includes a guided meditation, dharma talk, mindful movement, music and time for community connection. It occurs every Sunday morning, except on weekends when non-residential retreats are scheduled.

The gathering is led by experienced SIMS Local Dharma Leaders and Tuere Sala. We welcome you to join us.  Adults, teens and children over five are welcome, regardless of level of practice.

This is a drop-in practice group for people in their twenties and thirties (more or less), led by Keri Pederson.  An introduction to vipassana (insight) meditation, or mindfulness meditation, is helpful but not required. For those who participated in the iMind class series, this can be an opportunity to continue practicing.
