SIMS Climate Action Group is hosting a half day event on July 11, 2020.
Special Note: Until further notice, all events at SIMS are either paused or will meet remotely via Zoom software. Please join Zoom meeting here.
SIMS’ Climate Action Group is sponsoring a four-hour online event on Sat., July 11, entitled Reflecting on the Climate Crisis: Grief, Despair, Love, and Connection; Opening to the Full Catastrophe. The day will consist of presentations, as well as small and large group discussions. We’ll learn from experts about how climate disruption impacts our health and well-being. We’ll also hear from presenters who work with a variety of community organizations that address the many aspects of the climate emergency.
The presentations and interactive discussions will be grounded in our Dharma practice and will hopefully facilitate a greater willingness to turn towards the full catastrophe and, through deep understanding and connection with sangha, help each of us to find authentic ways to respond.
