New! Sunday Morning Sit & Dharma Talk
Starting January 21, 2018
with Tuere Sala
11:30 AM (Weekly)
at Seattle Insight Meditation Center, (2729 6th Ave. S., Seattle, 98134) (Map It)
A weekly, Sunday morning Meditation & Dharma Talk is an ongoing family-friendly gathering that includes a guided meditation, dharma talk, mindful movement, music and time for community connection. It occurs every Sunday morning, except on weekends when non-residential retreats are scheduled.
Adults, teens and children over five are welcome, regardless of level of practice.
This additional weekend sit was created in response to surveys indicating a need for an offering that can accommodate families and also for individuals who find it difficult to attend our traditional Tuesday evening sit or want to practice in community more often. The gathering is led by experienced SIMS Local Dharma Leaders and Tuere Sala. We welcome you to join us.
Registration & Donation
Registration is not needed for this class. The suggested event donation is $5, plus teacher dana. (Dana is a term for generosity, or freely offered giving.) Teacher dana can be offered at the event. Please use your best efforts to pay the suggested donation or another heartfelt amount. All are welcome regardless of ability to pay.
To inquire about the accessibility of SIMS events, such as wheelchair accessibility or seating for those with visual or auditory disabilities, email firstname.lastname@example.org. If, for physical or other reasons, you are not able to participate for the entire event, you are welcome to participate to the extent you are able. Please contact the event organizer or teacher at the event if you have questions.
