Patience is one of the ten beautiful "qualities of the heart" called the Paramis, which are: Generosity, Harmonious Living, Renunciation, Wisdom, Energy, Patience, Truthfulness, Determination, Loving Kindness and Equanimity. They are the fertile soil from which liberating wisdom grows. It is said that of all of them, Patience is the one that endows all the others with greater strength.
