SIMS depends on volunteers to carry out its mission of making
the Buddha's teaching available to all those who seek it. Volunteering is an
important way of giving dana to SIMS. To give in this way can open the
heart and enrich the life of the giver. Volunteering is also good way to meet
other members of the sangha. Here is a list of volunteer opportunities.

Beginners' Class
| Six week assignment. One or two people will work together to staff the greeter table during a six week Beginners' series. Includes setting out chairs, registering participants and giving information and assistance. Day Longs

Tuesday night volunteers
| All Tuesday nights for one month. Two people arrive at 6pm and work together to set up chairs, zabutons and the front greeter table. They also staff the front table during the sit to answer questions and stay late to leave Bloedell Hall as they found it in preparation for the Tuesday evening Homeless Women's Shelter. | Jackie Siegel |
