with Frank Ostaseski
5/5/2012 9:30 AM - 5/6/2012 4:30 PM at Bastyr University (Map) (Saturday and Sunday)
This event has been canceled.
In his description of this retreat, Frank says "I have been with a thousand dying people. The tragedy I've witnessed is not that life is impermanent or sometimes cut short, but that we often only see in hindsight what really matters. Being with dying is a bittersweet teaching revealing both the precarious and precious nature of our life. It illuminates what is most important and reminds us that we don't have time to waste. During this weekend we will explore some of the lessons learned in the time of dying and their relevance for all of us in living a more whole-hearted life. Our days will include shared stories, inquiry and mindfulness practice."
This two day retreat will meet in the Hemlock Room at Bastyr University. Each day of this retreat begins at 9:30am and ends at 4:30pm.
Volunteering: SIMS needs 10-15 volunteers to help at each event. If you are planning to attend and would like to help (with set up, clean up, tea service, sound system etc.) please click the Email Us button below to contact us.
